There are multiple things recommended to treat rotator cuff disorders. The most frequently diagnosed is rest and gentle mobility exercises. Your shoulder will not heal if you continue to push yourself to the extremes.
Allow yourself time to heal, and then, when you are ready, take a deep breath, and head back out to the real world. Apply ice to your shoulder at least two times a day. If you don’t have time to do it midday, make sure to do it before bedtime. Icing down your arm is a great way to relax your muscles and help you make it through the night. Take anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Advil, ibuprofren, and naproxen to relieve your pain and reduce swelling when needed. Last, but definitely not least, start physical therapy. It is through these workouts and your willingness to succeed that you will heal.
