What Are The Symptoms of Frozen Shoulder?
Frozen shoulder is an increasingly common shoulder injury and I'm frequently asked, "What Are The Symptoms of Frozen Shoulder?"
Frozen shoulder is a very painful condition of the shoulder joint. The most characteristic symptom is severely restricted shoulder movement.
In frozen shoulder, the shoulder joint capsule and the surrounding soft tissues undergo inflammation, stiffness and contraction, thereby affecting all the movements of the involved shoulder.
Because shoulder movements become painful sufferers tends to keep the shoulder immobile, giving rise to the name “frozen shoulder”.
The type of pain is another symptom of this condition. Frozen shoulder pain is ususally described as dull, boring, aching in nature. In the initial stages, it gets more in intense at night, often disturbing sleep. As frozen shoulder progresses, the pain persists day and night.
