Fractured Collarbone Treatment

Skiing can be a dangerous sport. Rough terrain, speed, and pole digging send many people spiraling downward, breaking bones. Skiing can have a tremendous impact on the collarbone or clavicle.

The collarbone, or clavicle, is actually the most frequently broken bone in the human body, so it’s no surprise that I often see patients who have fractured their collarbone skiing.

Frequently a collarbone fracture is caused by falling on an outstretched arm whilst skiing, so do be careful on the slopes.
