Shoulder Inflammation Treatment
Most shoulder inflammation responds to treatment.
Rest is usually the first course of order to help eliminate swelling and pain, aided by some sort of anti-inflammatory medication prescribed by a doctor. Some doctors may prescribe cortisone injections.
The application of ice packs can help reduce swelling in the first day or so of an injury.
Exercises to strengthen the muscles around the shoulder joint can be extremely helpful, as are stretching exercises in a regimen prescribed by a physical therapist.
Shoulder inflammation should never be taken lightly. Seek medical attention to determine its cause and the best of course of action, including a regimen of appropriate exercises and physical therapy aided by medication to speed the healing process.
