Shoulder Injury and Skiing
Skiing can be a dangerous sport. Rough terrain, speed, and pole digging send many people spiraling downward, breaking bones. Skiing can have a tremendous impact on the collarbone or clavicle. The collarbone, is actually the most frequently broken bone in the human body, so it’s no surprise that I often see patients who have fractured their collarbone skiing.
Frequently a collarbone fracture is caused by falling on an outstretched arm whilst skiing, so do be careful on the slopes. For more information see Fractured Collarbone
Fractured Collarbone Treatment
Fractured Collarbone Treatment usually involves rest and wearing a splint. For full details see Fractured Collarbone Treatment
